12:01 Lots of quick passing between Lennon, Walker and Adebayor on the right. The big striker lofts a ball over Colback to Lennon in the box but the winger's cross is claimed by Mignolet.

45:00 (+1:57) HALF-TIME: SPURS 0-0 SUNDERLAND. We're well on top and have had a couple of good chances to score and, of course, the penalty that never was... but still all to play for.
45:01 Sunderland start the second half.
62:04 Unbelievable! We so nearly take the lead several times. Firstly, Mignolet spills a cross and Parker sends the ball goalwards with Colback on the line to clear it. The rebound comes out to Lennon who sidefoots an effort that Colback, again, deflects onto the near post. Sunderland scramble it clear.
64:15 Close to a goal again! Dawson is at the far post to head a corner back across goal, forcing Mignolet to punch the ball into the path of Dempsey whose shot is blocked by.. Vertonghen!
69:33 This is last ditch stuff from Sunderland, but impressive last ditch stuff - McClean throws himself in front of a Bale shot as the winger cuts the ball back onto his left foot 20-yards out.
71:18 A top save from Mignolet, blocking Bale's effort with the winger having brought the ball down brilliantly 40-yards out. He drove at goal, cut inside Colback and only had the 'keeper to beat.
74:18 RED CARD: Sunderland down to 10! Vaughan takes Lennon down 30-yards from goal and gets his second booking of the game.
89:37 GOAL!!!! BALE DOES IT AGAIN!!!!! Incredible strike and so similar to the Southampton goal. He cuts in from the right and smashes a shot into the top left corner from 25-yards. Amazing.
